Service Description

Our home visits bring professional feeding support directly to you, in the environment where your baby feeds and your daily routines unfold. This personalised approach is especially helpful during the early postpartum period, when travelling can be challenging, allowing us to provide guidance in the context of your real-life feeding routine. Therapists are allocated to home visits based on your area, as we do not cover all locations, and scheduling is managed at the discretion of our team to ensure you receive the highest quality care. During the visit, we guide you through establishing and troubleshooting feeding patterns, observing feeds in your natural environment, and offering practical, hands-on solutions. We support latch, positioning, pumping, bottle introduction, or the transition to solids, and provide reassurance for any questions or concerns that arise. Partners and family members are also included, so you can feel confident that everyone has the tools to support your baby. Our goal is to ensure that you leave each visit feeling empowered, reassured, and supported, so you can enjoy the early weeks of your baby’s life with confidence and calm. Home visits are available within a 12km radius of Parklane Hospital. Visits beyond this radius are billed at R25.00 per km in addition to the consultation fee. All visits are billed on a time-based structure, as follows: • 16–30 minutes: R1 155.00 • 31–45 minutes: R1 428.00 • 46–60 minutes: R1 659.00 • 61–90 minutes: R1 942.00 • 91–120 minutes: R2 530.00 These rates include travel within the 12km radius. Payment is made directly to the practice following your consultation. You may then submit your invoice to your medical aid for reimbursement.
